Welcome to my site about Tashi Orphan School.
In December of 2012 I became a volunteer teacher at Tashi Orphan School. The students there are an amazing group of kids and they have changed my life forever. I know I have learned more from them than I could ever teach them. It is my hope that by creating this blog I can convey just how amazing they really are.
The main purpose of this blog is to show people what life is like for the kids at Tashi Orphan School. It is also the purpose of this blog to be a resource for some much needed funding for the school. The students of the school are either orphaned or underprivileged Tibetan children and are mostly from remote mountain villages in Nepal. The school is completely funded by private donations and boarding and educating over 100 children is no small task.
The site will hopefully be full of content soon. I am a student myself at Rangjung Yeshe Institute and only have a limited amount of time to devote to this site. I am also new to creating a blog and am trying to figure it out as I go. I will do my best to show what life is like for the students at Tashi Orphan School and hopefully maybe you can feel some of the love that they show me every time I visit.
Please follow the site and learn about the wonderful students at Tashi School that I have come to know and love.
